Meeting on logistical planning and collaboration

A workshop was held physically at the Mediterranean University of Albania as part of the dissemination and stakeholder engagement activities of the LAIA project. The event was designed for students enrolled in the MSc in Artificial Intelligence and aimed to provide practical insight into how AI is applied in contemporary business settings. The workshop opened with welcoming remarks and a brief introduction to the LAIA project, its objectives, and its relevance to AI education in Albania. This was followed by industry-oriented lectures delivered by invited external stakeholders. The session from ACCA19 focused on the practical use of AI in customer support, help desk, contact center operations, business process automation, document management, and data-driven services. Students were introduced to the ways intelligent systems and automation tools can enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery. The contribution from Startup Albania focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and the opportunities available for young professionals in the AI field, highlighting the Albanian startup ecosystem and the importance of entrepreneurial thinking for AI graduates. The lecture delivered by JTECH addressed the design and implementation of software solutions for business transformation, with particular attention to AI-powered systems, automation, digitalization, and practical industry needs. The event concluded with open discussions between students, academic staff, and invited speakers, creating an opportunity for knowledge exchange and stronger links between academia and industry.
