The Polytechnic University of Tirana (UPT) is a quality public institution of higher education founded as the Polytechnic Institute in 1951 and is currently a leader in its areas of expertise in the country.
It aims to perfect and consolidate academic formation and solve important research and scientific problems nationally and regionally.
As an Institution which greatly values Internationalization, cooperation with HEIs around Europe is considered indispensable and the university is open to every call for cooperation which creates opportunities for staff and students’ exchange.
The UPT has participated in Erasmus+ programme as a partner from countries not associated to the program since the beginning of the program and has year after year seen an increase in the number of ICMs and Capacity Building projects.
The Polytechnic University has signed around 80 Inter Institutional Agreements and MOU-s with universities in Europe and around the world.
The Polytechnic University of Tirana considers the participation in Erasmus+ program and other international programs crucial and is always seeking opportunities for the staff and students to feel part of the European community of researchers, to be involved in research activities and acquire valuable experience that they can share with the community of peers in the home institution and implement in the labor market.
